A Wonderful Sabbath Potluck!!

The vegetarian food served in my church embraces the mission of Christ, which is summed up in the first paragraph of the Ministry of Healing:

“Our Lord Jesus Christ came to this world as the unwearied servant of man’s necessity. He ‘took our infirmities, and bare our sicknesses,’ that He might minister to every need of humanity. Matthew 8:17. The burden of disease and wretchedness and sin He came to remove. It was His mission to bring to men complete restoration; He came to give them health and peace and perfection of character.”

When I looked at this food today, I was thinking of the wonderful blessing I have to follow Christ. He’s given me wonderful food and a purpose in life to help others. As I seek to help others, my quality of life is so much better than it would ever be.

Here’s what we had for potluck this Sabbath:

These burgers were made from scratch:

Yes, that was homemade mustard & mayo! I’m not sure if the buns were made from scratch.

This was my vegan dish today:

This was a nice, simple dessert:

Empty root beer ice cream:

Wow. We have a great church. I enjoy Sabbath class, working in the media center, and I enjoy our potlucks, too. 😉

A week or two after this session is over, I’m going to have to bring another dish!–Franklin
